So you are asking if you win the DV lottery, but continue to study in Kuwait for (how long?), and just come to the US every 6 months, can you keep your GC, and can you apply for citizenship in 5 years? Most likely, no. It depends on how long you want to stay outside if you win. You will have to go to the US to activate your GC, but you can then apply for a re-entry permit that will let you stay out of the country for 2 years. You can apply for this once more, maybe, but if you keep doing it, CIS might deny it eventually. This might let you keep your GC for a few years.

However, you need to be in the US for a certain amount of time to apply for citizenship, so you would have to MOVE to the US for that. After how many years would you move there?
