    Default Muslim marriage certificate timeline

Hello everyone, I did a couple of searches but could not find any info on muslim marriage certificate timeline, hence i am posting this query

I will be getting married soon so i started inquiring about marriage certificate and to my dismay i was told that the couple should visit the registration office to file application and then wait for 30 days to get one Obviously, people working in USA will not get 30 days vacation for marriage. I will be in India for just over two weeks after marriage and cannot stay longer. Anyone with experience, please help me in this regard. Thanks much.

I do not have personal experience but have been searching on this topic myself. I think for a muslim marriage it is very easy. One of my muslm friends got married in Hyderabad (India) and then the couple went to Haj house (near Public gardens) and within a day they were given the certificate. Normally, I think it takes about 7 days. But you obviously know how to get things done faster

Edit: Otherwise, I think all that the USCIS wants is a lawful proof of your marriage. So a court marriage can also be useful. Do let us all know here how you figured this out. Also, keep in mind that (from what I know) the marriage cert should be applied for in the place the marriage happened (or the place where the boy or girl have lived for atleast 60 days).

This is my opinion. Not a legal advice

Thanks for the reply. We stay in a town in AP and Haj House will not be of help to me. I inquired from local registrar office and he mentioned about 30 day rule and all. Still not clear how to proceed. Will update if i find a way.
