L1B into L1A and L2 EAD renewal

Hi

My employer is planning to convert my L1B(Ind) into L1A, pls clarify the below questions

1. Does a L1A needs to be applied 6 months before L1's 5 year term ends
2. My wife's L2 expires in May 2013 which was extended along with my L1 extension. Does she has to apply for L2 while my L1A is applied
3. My wife has EAD through her L2 and it expires in May 2013. Do we need to apply for her new EAD along with L1A filing

NO. Dependents of L1B and L1A have to stay on L2, there is no visa such as L2A.
3. My wife has EAD through her L2 and it expires in May 2013. Do we need to apply for her new EAD along with L1A filing
Not necessarily, you can apply before it expires in 2013
