Default Work from home in the USA

    Hello,

i know there were a couple posts about this, but I couldn't find a definite answer.

My girlfriend is in the US working on a TN visa, and my company is allowing me to work from home. (we are canadian) From what I gathered from all the other posts, I can apply for a B2 visa and work from home in the US because my company (a) does not have business in the US and (b) the company does not benefit from me working there. Is this correct? Is this the only legal way? or is it legal?

As for the interview, I would just state my intentions that I am working from home for a canadian company that does not have ties to the US, and show that I have my own place and banks accounts, etc..?

Then for sponsorship, my girlfriend can sponsor me as long as she provides all the documents such as work and financial information.

Does this all sound correct? Am I missing other things that I would need to know?

    Thanks in advance!!

Tourist visa is not for working in the U.S., even if it is working from home for a Canadian company.

    It is for tourism purposes.
