applying for F1 Visa from outside the home country

Hi,

I am an Indian Citizen, currently working in Austria. I wish to pursue my MS in the Unites States.

Wht I wish to know is if I can apply for a Student Visa in the US Consulate here in Vienna only
or I can do this only from my home country that is India.

Any form of help is welcome

you can, but you have to bring proof of aufenthaltserlaubnis in austria. you might have trouble showing ties though. not sure if you need to show ties to Austria or your home country.
