  • I need Someone to Clear Something for Me

First of all, thank you for clicking on my thread.
We (my family) are trying to make a little plan in order for my brother and I to go study in the US.
I'll go to high school and he'll go to college, but the problem is, we need to bring our mother with us in order to take care of us.
I figured out after some Googling that my bro and I will take the f1 visa but the thing that I couldn't find, is it possible for our mom to come on a f2 visa? if not then what visa would allow her to accompany us?

PS: She doesn't speak fluent English.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me

I have never heard of a student who would bring his mother. She can come visit with a B-2 visa though.

Highschool students usually come to the US with an exchange program and would live with an american
family. College students live in a dorm. So there is no need for your mother to accompany you.

Studying high-school in F1 Visa can get complicated.
Parents are not considered as dependents for Visa purposes. Your mother will have to qualify separately for some other Visa such as B2. But that will only get her max 6 months visits.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
