  • How long can I stay legally in USA after I resign my job while I am on L1B in USA?

    Hi,
I am working for a software company in USA on L1B visa and am originally from India.
If I get a good job in Singapore(for eg), I want to resign, go back to India, get Singapore Visa and travel to Singapore.
However I want to know how long can I stay in USA after I resign while I am staying on L1B?
I am worried if I have to leave US on same day of my resignation. What is US law about this?

Could you please help me how can I quit job in USA while I am on L1B and safely take up a new job in Singapore?

    Thank you,
    Raghav.

Technically 0 Days. There is no grace period after you resign on L1. You have to leave US immediately after resignation.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Technically zero days. Practically a week is okay.
