Convert TN to L1

I am a project manager working for a large company in the US on TN Visa. I am employed by the same company's canadian office. As such, My country of residence is still Canada - I travel monday to friday. I have been offered full time job with the company's US office.

Can I convert my visa from TN to L1A?
And as a canadian I can get this done at the border?

You can, but you may be able to remain on TN as well. You should speak with an immigration attorney, especially if your country is considering an L-1A. it is a rather difficult visa. You may be able to apply directly at the border.
