Default B-2 Visitor Visa Extension Times?

We recently filed the I-539 Form to extend the stay of our visitor from Russia. The original departure date on the I-94 was Dec 04, 2005 and we requested extension until Jul 01, 2006. The request was approved but for only one month until Jan 04, 2006. Is there anything we can do to get more time? If anyone has similar experiences and/or advice please share. Thanks

If they had to give you more time , they would have given it on your first extension application. I do not think a 2nd extension app would succeed unless there is a dire emergency.

    Default Our Solution

We are going to send our visitor back home for 2 weeks and she will then
return and re-enter the U.S. Hopefully to get a complete 6 months on her I-94 without too much hassle. The only other alternative we could think of was the possibility of changing her status to Immigrant.

And what is going to be her explanation at entry for such a quick
second visit? Be advised that a visitor visa is for visits and visits made
too quickly, like you are planning for your visitor may make the inspector
at the entry think that she is an intending immigrant and he/she
has every right to stop her and send her back home.
