There seems to to be very unclear about the new medical insurance plans and exchanges that goes into effect from 01/01/2014, the sign up for with begins next week on OCT 1st 2013.
Lot of question but few answers.....
1. Not all states are alike and a state like NJ (Republican Gov) where I live not sure what's going to be offered.
2. The health care GOV pages seems to elude to offering insurance for new immigrants (not clear for someone > 65), but no specfics.
3. I purchase travellers insurance for my mother (72 years old), not sure if this qualifies as me having insurance & I don't get slammed with un-insured surcharge when I file taxes.
4. My mother lives with me however has no income & I support her, if I were to apply for her for Obamacare will my family income be considered to computing how much premium she will pay?
If something is offered I do want to at least compare to see what are the benefits Vs premimum so that I can make a informed decision, as its still 3+ years away before she becomes eligible to be covered under medicare ( so called bridge)
