  • Last name difference in Green Card and Passport (Order of Middle name different)

    Hi,

In my Indian passport my middle name (which is originally my family name) is part of my surname. In my US Green card my middle initial is part of my given name.
    Example :
    In passport
    Given name -Anna
    Surname - Nellil Thomas

    Green card:
    Given name:Anna N
    Surname:Thomas

Nellil is actually my middle name.

I was planning to visit India in couple of months. Will this be an issue during re-entry in US? I heard somewhere that while verifying name they'll check for all combinations.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. So even though my surname looks different in both, it will be ok?
