Question Stay beyond L1 visa expiry

I am on L1 visa and it expires in Feb 2006. My I-94 is stamped upto Feb 2008.

    1) From US, can I renew my L1 visa?

    2) Without renewing the L1 visa, is it legal to stay back in US
since my I-94 is valid till 2008? Is there any risk in doing that?

    Appreciate any help.

    Default

    1. For renewing your visa stamp, you will have to travel back to home country. There is no provision for revalidation of L stamp inside US. Other option is to travel to Mexico or Canada but you would have to go with open mind taking redirection into account.
    2. You are legal until date of I-94 expiration. Visa expiration date is irrelevant. It's meant only for entering and not for staying.
