This is something I'm having a difficult time finding an answer to.
Can you change an M-1 or F-1 student visa status to a B-2 visitor visa status? All of the info seems to support the other way around. (the I-539 form info)
For example : If you hold an M-1 or F-1 student visa and are completing a 6 month program, can you apply to change your status to a B-2 once your program ends, so you are able to spend time in the US solely as a tourist, for say, another 6 months?
I would really appreciate assistance, or the proper contact information to help me resolve this.
