My fiancé is waiting for the army in his country to get him his record and his medical record. He'd contacted them over 2 months ago and has called a few times. Each time is told it will be there 'next' week. The paperwork he received from the US regarding the visa said he had a 4 month window That window runs out on the 17th. He called the embassy today and was told as long as I sent a new statement that we were going to marry within the 90 day period he would be alright if the records got to him later-- basically they told him he should make the appointment with them as soon as he got the records and as long as he has a new statement from me it's ok.
Does anyone know if that's true? Why give him a 4 month 'window' if it wont matter? By the way he did send an email to an address he was given (again from the embassy) 2 weeks ago requesting an extension.
I just want to be sure he was given the correct information.
I would appreciate any information anyone has on this.
