    Default Citizenship question

I applied for my greencard through marriage (recieved it) and am now applying for my Citizenship. The process looks straightforward except for one question which is making me wonder if I should go through a lawyer again.

The question is (N400 application, Pg 9. G Question 33)...."Are you a male who lived in the US any time between your 18th & 26th birthdays in any status except as a lawful nonimmigrant".

There was a period of a few months between my company applying for my H1 visa (still legal at this time) and me recieving it when I was out of status (as my OPT had expired) of which I was not aware (that i would go out of status during this time). Now I am a little worried about this time period. I recieved my H1 in 2001. Applied for my greencard in the middle of 2002 and had no problems in either case.

Can someone please advise whether this could lead to a big problem and I should go through a lawyer.

That question is meant for registering with selective service. If you had green card during that age, you were required to register with selective service.
