transit germany visa delhi to bogota

hi
i am travelling from delhi to bogota (columbia in south america) via frankfurt on lufthansa.
from gogota i will travel to USA for which i have a tourist visa and return directly to india.
do i require a transit german visa for my outbound journey?
would appreciate your advise
