L2 Working with out EAD

Hi,

I got here to USA on L2 VISA in June 2014. I am looking to apply for EAD L2 Work permit as I have 3 yrs of Exp in India as Java Developer. I Came across few sites that an L2 VISA holder can even work in IT firm with out an EAD and he/she need to make sure that EAD is applied in future. Is it a new rule?

Can Start working with out an applying EAD. Can some one answer please.

No such rule yet. L2 needs EAD to work legally.
