Please help!

I am a foreign citizen and engaged to an American fellow. Few years ago I came back form the US where I spend my college years. I am confuzed about the police certificate since on your web page USA is listed as one of the countries where police certificates are not available?

Second question is related to credit history: I had sort of a bad credit back then...I did not pay off my credit card when I left the country. will that affect my k1 application? I was arrested once for writing a hot check. The situation was really a big misunderstanding sice I moved from one bank to another and one of the checks cleared after 3 months (it was 30 dollars for groceries!). Of course I did not realize that could ever happen and only found out 2 yrs later when I came to pay my speeding ticket. I immediately paid everything and the cops were very nice and understanding but now I am afraid how that will affect me?

1. You don't need police certificates for stay in US.

2. I don't think that would affect your K1 application.
