This is not strictly a immigration question. But I did not know where else to post and hence I am posting here. I have a green card and I have a few friends who want to export Indian raw foods (mainly spices) into the US. I know the clients who would be interested. But I do not know the procedures involved where I can legally import them into the US. I know a few items are termed as controlled and hence there are restrictions and additional charges involved.
If anyone is aware of the process, could they kindly point me in the right direction. Links would be great as well.
In addition, if we are interested in growing the foods here after buying the lands (assuming that the lands are suitable), what is the process. One of my friends is thinking of getting a investment based GC by investing $500,000 which is the amount you need to invest in a rural area.
Please advise.
