    Default I 94 query,someone please respond!

    Is the I 94 attached to my passport when i entered US on B2 supposed to be taken away by the immigration officers when I leave US?I am back in India and I have it stapeled on my passport. Can someone please clarify?

    You are supposed to make sure that your I-94 is returned to the immigration officer when you leave US. Otherwise you will be recorded as untimely departure from US.

    If I- 94 is still in your possession, it is your responsibility to surrender immediately to the following office to update your record. This will avoid trouble when you re enter to USA in future.

    You must complete the requirement on the back of the card, port of disembarkation, date of departure from US, Flight info. You MUST attach a letter of explanation and evidence of your departure from US (eg:boarding pass)
