Expired H1B Visa, Petition Still Valid

Hi Friends,

My H1B petition was filed by my company in 2011 and it got approved in September 2011. I travelled and was in US from March 2012 till December 2012. My visa got expired in September 2013.

Please advice the possibilites of getting H1B again. As far as i know my Petition will be valid till 2017 (2011 + 6 Years ), correct me if i am wrong.

As you were in H1 status till Dec 2012, any employer can file a cap exempt petition for you till 2012+6 = 2018. So you first need to find that employer who is willing to petition for you.
