OPT Ended, Need to Change to B2 Visa
Hi,
My OPT is over and I am at day 41 of my 60 days grace period after OPT ends. I need to stay in the US until December 15-20th. Is the easiest way to change my visa status is to exit the country and re-enter with the B2 visa? I am in possession of both a student visa and a visitors visa if that helps.
Is there any amount of time I have to stay out of the US before I can come back? Is Mexico a viable country to go to do this? If It helps I am from a Central American country. Thanks!
