F1 to H1B without OPT

I'm on my first semester this spring, and its about to end, and I know April is the month they open for H1B applications. Now, my question is, supposing I found a company who is willing to sponsor my working visa, will I be approved? Will this even work? And what are the complications to this..

It's too late to apply for H1b's this year, unless the company is a non-profit.
