to Apply for F1 when H1b is in process

Hi,

My company had raised an H1B for me and it is now currently with the US consulate, I asked my company to withdraw my application stating my current intentions of doing higher studies but they said they wont be able to withdraw as my application has already left the company and currently they cannot do anything until the lottery results are out. My question is can I apply for F1 visa during this time? If I can, will the H1B application be rejected? or will there be any other implications.

Yeah if you apply for the F1 now then lots of things could happen, I'm not sure. The F1 could be denied, the H1b could be rejected. Either way, something bad will happen.
You don't have a choice you need to wait until the H1b lottery results are out before you can do anything now.

You are aware that you're allowed to go to school while on the H1b visa right? You could work and attend school in the evening, or do online classes.
