  • Entering Canada with Green Card NOT from the US

I am an Egyptian citizen with a green card. I live in the United States in NY state. I am thinking of traveling to Egypt from Toronto airport as it is close to me. So I will drive a car into Canada, crossing at Buffalo, travel to Egypt from Toronto then return FROM Egypt into Toronto to drive again across the border into NY. I will be carrying my Egyptian passport and my green card. Is this acceptable? Will I be allowed into Canada coming in from Egypt NOT from the US? Thanks.

    Yes, yes.

For reassurance, call the Canadian consulate nearest to where you live in the United States.

Unlike calling a united States consulate, they Canadians are pretty nice and helpful
