    Default does H1 need to be valid atleast 6 months before cp intervie

    I may have my interview in chennai in june this year, however my H1 will expire in oct. 2002. somewhere i read that H1 visa needs to be valid atleast for 6 months from interview date? is this true? since mine will be valid for 4 months only. Please help in answering this question. what is best way to renew at this point.

    Not a legal advice.
    I think it's a passport. Nothing do with your
    H-1. Confirm it by sending mail to consulate.

    it's only the passport that should be valid for a certain duration...
