About extrnsion of Visitor Visa

Hello,
MYself a new joinee to the forum have a query about the extension of Visitor Visa.

1. My in-laws have multiple entry Visa
2. They are already in US from May 24th 2006.
3. They have their return ticket on Nov 20th 2006.

1. If want to go for an extension when can I apply for it?.
2. Will the return ticket becomes void if they get an extension?
3. After they get an extension can they fly back to India before the expiry of the extension date

Please reply me as early as possible. as I am really in need of it.

1. No more than 60 days prior to the expiration of the I-94
2. Thats a question for the airline...it depends on the type of ticket
