L1 to F1 visa

Hi All,

My L1B visa is valid through 01-Dec-2014 to 27-Nov-2017. I was in the US from 01-Jan-2015 to 30-May-2015 for work. Now I'm back in India. I'm planning graduate study that starts Fall-2016. Now I have a few queries:

1) Is my L1B still valid? I will be quitting my current company, but the visa is still valid till 2017.
2) If I apply and get an F1 stamped, will my L-1 still be valid?
3) This query is not related to the above 2 but I've been having this question in my mind for quite sometime - Now that I'm back in india can I goto US on the L1B visa again before it expires? (Will i need invite letter etc again)

Did you get any information about your situation?
I am in a similar situation, with the difference that I am applying for fall 2016 and will be in US on L1 in early months of 2016.
