Hi,
I have a relative who just got granted a visitor’s visa. We have heard that first time travelers can only come for two weeks, or that they have to buy roundtrip airline tickets. However, if the officer will tell the person the length-of-stay at the time of entry, I don’t see how we can determine the roundtrip itinerary before entering the US.
My question is: Can a person coming for the first time buy a one-way ticket to the US and the returning flight to be determined by the length-of-stay assigned?
