  • Can I travel to Puerto Rico while on OPT?

I'm currently on OPT. I'm applying for STEM extension and am going to apply for H1 in April. Visa stamp on my passport has expired long ago.
I'm planning for a trip with my wife to Puerto Rico in July but was not sure if there's any visa issue when traveling there and back to the States.
Many people told me I don't need visa to go there and back but I also found different information when searched online.

Does anyone has experience traveling to Puerto Rico?
Do we need visa to go there or reentering US?

    Thank you,

Puerto Rico is part of the U.S., i.e., "commonwealth" status, and does not require visas for entrants who have legal status in the U.S.
