what to submit for affidavit of support

I am wondering if , for my affidavit of support, do I have to submit one year of income history, or can I just submit a certain amount of months like 8.Could I just submit proof that I have a job? I will also have a cosponsor who can submit years worth of income.

There are two Affidavit of Support forms I-864 (for immigrant visas) and I-134 (for fiancee visas). Which visa type are you pursuing? These two forms have different documentation requirements and eligibility of co-sponsors to be involved.
