7 year old child Immigrant visa interview

Hi There,
Can someone help me share their experience in this relation.My husband is a US citizen based in Us,I ve child with my previous marriage ,I work in Qatar and my son is in India.My son has his immigrant visa interview before I got mine which is in Mumbai,India.My consulate will be different as I live and work abroad.My question is,will it be fine to have his interview before mine or I should ask the Indian consulate to reschedule his appointment?Thankyou
