I first came to the U.S for study 2 years ago. At that time, I had to take a part-time job for a few months due to financial problem. (I didn’t give the employer my SSN) However, my family’s financial problems at home got really worse and eventually I had no choice but giving up my study and came back to support the family 6 months ago.
Back to the present, everything is sorted now and I’m looking for a chance to continue my study in the U.S. The problem here is my illegal working past 2 years ago. Despite the fact that my SSN wasn’t exposed, I’m still worried that it might be found out someday, thus all my effort would be wasted.
Given that I get issued with a new I20 form and new Sevis ID this time, is there any chance that the illegal working past might be tracked and I would get deported?
