  • TN-2 Visa Issued, No PED

    Hi All!

I got my first TN visa last week (I applied directly at the US embassy in mexico city), the process was fairly easy and I got my approval after 10 min and I picked up my visa 5 days later!

My petition asked for three years, but the visa stamp was only issued for 1 year...my lawyer asked me if there was a PED (Petition End Date) on my visa stamp, but I didn't get one.

Does anyone know what does that mean? Will this give me trouble when I try to renew my TN? My contract is for 3 yearsand it was clearly stated on the employment offer...

    Thank you in advance!

TN visa is always going to be for 1 year, if the job offer said that the offer was for 3 years you may get a I-94(permit) for those 3 years, means that you can stay those 3 years without renewing visa, you only need to re-stamp a new visa if you go out USA after the Visa is expired
