Reason for Advance Parole

I am currently waiting for my interview for the i-485, but it is taking longer than expected.
I planned to go to France visit my family with my wife at the end of August, and was hoping to have my temporary green card by then.
For safety I will now apply for Advance Parole, i-131.

When applying for Advance Parole as part of the i-485 process, do you need to state a Humanitarian/Educational/Professional reason?

Some people say no reason is needed, some say it HAS to be part of those three categories, but I can't find any clear answer.

Any experience/advice on how to fill that part of the application would be greatly appreciated!

Hello , I applied for Humanitarian Reason. I send documents that my grandfather send to me from his doctors office. The documents stated that he was sick and was diagnosed with Dementia. I also send a letter explaining why i wanted to go visit him . I submitted the application on April 1st and got Approved May 4th.
