Regarding medical prescription

Hello,

My parents are visiting US in May last week. My father has diabetics and on insulin medication. I would like to know if the customs officer at the airport will allow insulin medicines (he is planning to get enough supply that will last throughout his trip) with prescription? will the pharmacies accept Indian prescription incase he needs insulin here?

Also please suggest me a good insurance for my father (55ys)?

No. Prescription from India will not work in USA. He needs to get all his diabetic supplies from India.
