Yesterday my mom and dad had an interview for B2 Visitor Visa. Mom got the VISA although they have put a hold on my dad's visa, and have asked him to fill-out some questionaaire online, submit his resume and give 3 three references. After he submits this information, they will call him again.He has a Metallurgy background and works in a provate Metallurgy lab. During the interview they said that, they need further investigation, since its a Metallurgy field.
Has anyone experienced this before? Although no one can predict, but this is normal, "for my satisfaction", question, that does he have any chances?

They are doing security check on him, a regular procedure for people in certain occupations. Its done by FBI and other agencies and usually takes a couple of months. I am sorry to hear this. Hopefully it will get resolved soon. Goodluck!
