Supporting documents for GC for parents

Hi,

I just got my citizenship and would like to apply for my parents' greencard. They are visiting me in U.S. and have a 10 yr multiple entry visitors visa. I have the following questions:

1)Neither of my parents have birth certificates but I have my birth certificate with their names and they have a marriage certificate. Will my birth certificate and their marriage certificate suffice? The USCIS site dos not mention that their birth certificates are required.

2)Do I need to file for their visa extension if the GC processing takes longer than their approved stay?

3)I am a stay at home mom, is it OK to show my husband's income etc as proof of being able to sponsor them?

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1. Their birth certificates will be required.
not at the time of petitioning but later, when their visa is finalized.
They should try to obtain
a copy from the municipal office where they were born. If the office does not have a copy , read this page for more info;

2. Yes, and it may be denied because of a pending I-130. (conflict of intent ; visitor visa vs immigrant visa).
It is better for them to get their immigrant visa at the embassy rather
than changing status in US. This is what USCIS prefers is the right way to go. Processing times
are not much different ( about a year). It may be more in US depending on
where you live.

3. Yes, he can be a joint sponsor. There are clear cut guidelines
on affidavit of support by USCIS ,and you must follow them.
