Procedure of exit from US

My parents are leaving from Seattle, as port of exit. Could somebody let me know what are the steps of exit.

Seattle-Tacoma International is one of the 14 airports with the US VISIT EXIT system.
Their will be a machine scanning the passport and the visa and fingerprints
to record timely departure.
I-94s will be deposited.

They must keep photocopies of their I-94 cards to show in case there is a dispute on future entries.
