Admission in Boston, can one stay in San francisco and then go to boston

My brother got admission into north eastern university, Boston. I live in San Francisco, CA. I am planning he enters via San Francisco, stays with me for 10 days and then travel to Boston.

Is it possible? Will there be any issues?
