  • L1 Extension after GC (485) application

I am on L1 Visa, and have applied for my GC.

But my L1 is going to expire after 3 months, do I need to extend my L1 Visa; or since my GC is applied for I don't need to extend my L1 Visa.

    Thanks in advance.

    Amit.

Yes, you need to extend your L1.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

In order to stay in US , you must need to apply L1 Extension, There is no other way. Or apply H visa from same company.

If your GC applied in EB1 then its good.

Can you explain what you mean by "If your GC applied in EB1 then it's good"?
I am in a similar situation. L-1A will expire end of October, EB1-C has been filed in March, still haven't gotten approval on the I-140.
Should I file an L-1A extension?
        Thank you!
