F1 student would like to change name in the USA after changing in country of origin
I am a male, currently i am an F1 student in California. but i will get my permanent residency in 2 years through marriage to my girlfriend and eventually my citizenship in about 5 years.
I am hoping to change my last name and middle name because it's really hard to use name. i want the change done soon WHILE STILL ON F1 VISA. Not after marriage or after citizenship.
After i change it in my country of origin, what should i do to make the process complete here in the USA.
- will it be a problem when entering the USA with the new passport with new name and the i20 with my old name?
- how to update the USCIS i20 document name?
- how to change SSN name? yes i do have a valid SSN.
- rough estimate on processing times and fees.
what other documents and departments should i take care of here in the US once the name change is done in country of origin?
