Pending premium submission L1A extension. Do I have to leave the country?

1. I have premium submitted a L1A extension. It's pending. When my initial L1A expires, do I have to leave the country?
2. My wife has applied for L2 extension. Her expires very soon. Does she have to leave the country during my L1A extension is pending?

No, as long as you have applied for extension prior to your I-94 expiry and have not exhausted the 7 Year of L1A.

I have applied prior to my I-94 expiry.

If my I-94 expires and I still have not a confirmed extension, do I have to leave then?
