H1 extension not approved, I 94, I797 expired

Hi All,
My H1-B extension was filed in may and its not approved yet. My i-94 and I-797 is expired few days back.
I read about the 240 days rule.
Few questions:

1. Is this 240 Days rule applicable for me?
2. Do I have to take any action from my side?
3. Will this affect in my PERM application in any way or at any stage?

Please let me know of any more information.

2. Not till you are close to 240 day expiry.
3. No, as long as don't violate any immigration laws
