    Hi All

I have an employer in the US willing to sponsor me for a green card. I am looking to get some information around when I can start working. I know they will need to apply for a PERM first which takes 4 months based on the current processing times and then file an I-140, and an EAD will need to be attained.

My question is when the I-140 is filed it will be approved after a certain period of time, and then the actual processing of it will take much longer.

Can I apply for the EAD once it is approved or do I need for it to be fully processed.

    Thanks

I think I-140 can take anywhere from 6-8 months or more (if RFE). You can do I-140 premium if your employer is ready.
I believe you will still need to wait for EAD till the date comes.
