B1 to H1 Conversion...

I am currently in B1 in US. I Got h1 Approved. H1 start Date from 10/01/2016. with i797B.

I would need to get i94 on the H1 before I start working.

Is there any way that I can get h1 B with I 94 and start working without travelling outside US.

If no, what is the best option to go for (which consulate) without going back to India ?

The only option is to apply for a COS from B1 to H1 in premium before your B1 I-94 expires. A strong justification(e.g. business loss in Dollar terms) would have to be provided.

As for not goign back to India, if this is you first time H1 stamping, its advisable and strongly recommended to do only from your home country.
