    Angry Stay extension Denied----Effect on next entry

    My parents have 10 yr visitor visa. They were here last november. My father left in two months but we had applied for extension for my mother in april. Her scheduled day of departure was may 13th but we asked her to stay until we heard the extension result. Unfortunately the extension request got denied in june. She overstayed for about 5 days after knowing the extension denial as we had not been checking our mail for 4 days and as soon as we knew the very next day we bought a new ticket and sent her back.

    What wud the consequences be? Is there risk of visa cancellation next time she tries to come here? We were planning to ask my parents to come here in january 2007. What kind of issues wud we have to face?
    Would there be a possibility of them sending her back at port of entry ?

    Any clues anyone?

    The law requires you to leave immediately upon hearing of the extension denial. The decision to allow her to enter will entirely depend on the officer at entry. She should be able to argue her case showing all the documents;
    copies of her I-94, the actual extension denial notice and the passport arrival stamp in India.
