Second Time H1-B Renewal based on Previous Employers Approved I-140

My I-140 got approved with Previous Employer during my 6th year of H1-B, now my I-140 is NOT revoked by Previous Employer and i switched my job to Current Employer and got 3 yrs H1-B extension for First time based on my Previous Employers Approved I-140. Now, *with current employer, my 3 yrs will end in 2018, if my current employer don't do my new PERM/I-140 then is it possible for my current employer to still renew my H1-B for Second time based on my Previous Employers Approved I-140 and will I still get 3 more years of H1-B extension?*

1. Yes, you should be able to apply for H-1B ext based on previously approved I-140 by ex employer. One of my friends was exactly in the same situation and has got it approved based on approved I-140 applied by previous employer.
2. H-1B extension depends on many things, e.g. LCA or Task Order validity...i.e. client documents submitted for H-1B ext but still no one can guarantee 3 year ext, totally depends upon USCIS officer whims and fancy.

P.S. - i'm not a lawyer, whatever I have stated above is based on true experience, directly or indirectly.

can you confirm whether you had your extension for second time based on previous employer approved I-140...
