scared of being denied entry at POE JFK a day before I-797 petition expiry

Hello, I am travelling a day before the expiration of my Fiance Visa petition I-797 that is 5th January 2017, although my K1 visa which was issued on 11th November is valid till April 2017. Will be denied entry at JFK because I am travelling only a day before petition expiry date? (My wedding is on 6th January 2017). I have some unfinished work before I leave my country so I can’t travel sooner.

You should be able to enter using the visa on any day up to the day the visa expires.

Your petition expiration has nothing to do with your visa expiration.
