I am going to apply for renewal of F1 visa in December'16 and my prior visa was issued for MS. I switched to PhD during my MS and will need at least a year to finish Phd. My prior visa has expired this year and I had a 221g in my prior visa approval. I have the following questions:
1. Can I take an appointment for visa interview in December in India now while still being in US?
2. I intend to finish my PhD within one year so what should be intended length of stay? m thinking 2 years as who knows what happens.
3. Since I got 221g for my MS visa, is there anything specific to watch out for?
